It is sterile or infection free, safe and hypoallergenic (less prone to allergies). Inverness USA claims that the product is completely free from Nickel, a metal which mostly leads to allergies. The material used is an alloy which is a patent of this firm.
Hence, the chances of infections and allergic reactions are very rare.
What ear rings are used for ear piercing?
The ear rings are available from Inverness, USA. They are completely sterile and hypoallergenic. The ear rings are fitted into a pre-sealed cartridge. The pre-sterilized earring cartridge ensure the safest ear piercing possible as the cartridge are not being exposed to possible contaminants prior to piercing. No needle is used for ear piercing. The ear ring it self are used for ear piercing.
How is an Ear Piercing performed?
The system safely and quickly pierces ears in 3 EASY STEPS using a gentle, hand-pressured instrument (also called as GUN).
The cartridge with the ear ring are loaded onto the GUN. The site for ear piercing is marked by the parents. Using the GUN with the loaded cartridge the ears are pierced.
This makes the ear piercing experience very comfortable for the child!!

Can we used use are own ear rings for piercing?
This is a very common question from parents. We can only use the ear rings from Inverness. They are available as sealed cartridge. You can change the ear rings after 4 to 6 weeks once the track appears to be mature.
